1. Grab a blank sheet of paper. Standard size paper is 8.5 by 11 inches (22 by 28 cm), but you might want to draw on a smaller or larger paper depending on the size of the bird you will draw.

2. Draw a normally sized oval in the center of your paper. You don't want it to take up the entire paper and have no space left. This will be the bird's body.

3. Draw a smaller circle that's connected to the left of the oval. This is the bird's head.

4. Flip the sheet of paper so that the circle is at the top of the paper and oval. Draw a narrow triangle on the end of the circle and draw a vertical line in the triangle. This is the beak.

5. Flip the paper back to its previous position and draw a small dot in the circle. This is the eye of the bird.

6. Draw a curved line in the oval. This will make the wing.

7. Draw two straight lines at the curved end of the oval (right side). This will make a leg.
